Full description
Begin your journey in Tirana and drive with your group towards the Ottoman city of Berat. Midway, stop in the small town of Belsh, located by Belshi Lake and surrounded by 84 other small lakes. Enjoy a brief stop for a coffee by the lake.
Next, ascend the castle hill for a visit to the 2,500-year-old Berat Castle. Embark on a 1.5-hour walking tour and learn about its development under different empires, spanning from Roman to Byzantine to Ottoman. Visit several landmarks, including the Church of Saint Mary, the Church of the Holy Trinity, the Red Mosque, the fortress walls and watchtowers, and traditional Ottoman houses.
Descend to the city center and explore the renowned Mangalemi neighborhood. Discover significant landmarks such as the city gate and former Pasha's residence, the Sultan's Mosque, and Berat's bustling boulevard. Pass by the famous Gorica Bridge and explore the old Gorica neighborhood.
